Stephie, an adorable little Min Pin mix was picked up on the street in Santa Monica after being hit by a car.A good samaritan found her and took her to the vet and had her leg splinted along with caring for a few wounds on her side. They were able to trace an owner down that seemed like a backyard breeder, but when told of the leg she said to euthanize her. Well, that wasn't an option so our caretaker at Collie Haven, Amilio, was contacted. We had room at Collie Haven and offered to make Stephie an "Honorary Collie". Her leg is healed and she is ready to be adopted. Stephie is housebroken, around 7 to 8. She is ok with other dogs but can take care of herself if needed and will let them know. She needs to be a house dog as she has some separation anxiety, but is adapting well at Collie Haven. She is a love bug and will sit on your lap, gazing into your eyes. She will be a wonderful close companion to maybe a senior person, who is retired and will dote back on her too. Stephie is ever so sweet. Whoever adopts her will adore her.

About Our Rescue Group...

Southland Collie Rescue, Inc. (SCR), a non-profit corporation located in the Southern California area, coordinates for several Collie Rescues in the Southland. All of our Collie Rescues find homes for purebred Collies and, when possible, Collie mixes from shelters, from people who have taken in strays, and from owners who can no longer care for their Collie. We foster our rescued Collies in private homes throughout Los Angeles and adjacent counties.
