Penga's Story...
Hi! My name is Penga. I'm just a little bitty girl and only 9 weeks old (as of 6/14/13). I had a rough start in life (very long ugly story that I don't want to tell) but I'm doing really well here with my foster family. I like my very large crate, I mostly "hit" those puppy pads and I come running when she calls my name. My foster mommy says there is a whole list of things I need to learn in the coming weeks--things like potty training, sit, stay and leash walking. It sounds a little overwhelming but I'm a smart little girl! I like the other dogs who live here (big and small) and there are some pretty cool critters with fuzzy tails for pulling that are always nice to me--I don't know what it means but my foster mommy calls them "dog savvy cats".

My foster mommy says that as a pup-in-training I may be too rambunctious for small children just yet. So I am looking for a home with older children OR with an experienced dog handler.

Please watch for updates about me! My foster mommy says I am a very, very special little girl and that some nice family will be very, very lucky to be chosen by me. I'd love to meet you, just contact my friends at the Humane Society to fill out an application so they can set up an appointment... be sure to ask for Penga... that's P-E-N-G-A. Love, Me

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Penga, a Clarksville Labrador Retriever/Blue Heeler puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Blue Heeler for sale in Clarksville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Blue Heeler puppy from a breeder in Clarksville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Clarksville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Clarksville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Blue Heeler breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Blue Heeler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Clarksville paves the way for another one to be saved.
