Lexus's Story...
Introverts need not apply! This little pup is going to draw LOTS of attention! With her crystal-clear baby blues and strawberry blond and cream coat, this petite gal stops traffic! Which is a good thing actually, because that's exactly how Lexus came to be rescued. A good Samaritan saw her alongside a road and pulled over to take her to safety. No collar, no microchip, no owner.

Lexus is ready to find a person she can call her own. She's spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations and healthy. We estimate she was born around August 2012. She appears to be a border collie mix, so expect high intelligence, high agility and high activity from Lexus. She's a little angel and loves people of all ages.

Experience with the breed would be helpful since border collies expect their human friends to help them fulfill their need to "work" and play. "Work" can be anything from learning tricks on the agility course to catching a tennis ball in the yard or playing hide and seek in the house with toys.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lexus, a Marietta Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
