This sweet, beautiful girl wondered up to a nice lady's home in very rural North GA. She was, as the lady said, "a bag of bones" and was obviously dumped. The lady fed her for a week or so, but then had no choice but to take her to a shelter. Unfortunately, it was a high kill shelter; but Maybelline was saved because of some caring volunteers that saw the potential for a great little companion in her and they contacted this rescue. Maybelline is now thriving in her foster home where she has 4 other Hounds to play with and just hang out with.There are several cats plus a small dog in her foster home and although she does try to play with them, and might be a bit too enthusiastic; it is not in a mean or aggressive manner. Because she loves to chase and tree the squirrels; an outdoor cat might be too tempting though to not chase.. She was estimated at the shelter to be about 1 1/2-2 yrs old. Her puppy playfulness though, suggests she might be as young as barely a year. She is the sweetest girl who loves affection from her foster Mom and Dad. We think she is so pretty and petite, with those soulful eyes and long soft ears! Maybelline is a smart girl and a quick learner and has already learned the household routine. So far she has not had an accident at all either in her crate or when she is loose in the house. Maybelline is in good weight at about 55 lbs.. We cannot stress enough what a sweet, happy girl she is who seems to be so grateful for the good life she is now enjoying! She is up to date on all shots and heartworm negative and already on prevention; and is spayed .
