Duke - Courtesy Post's Story...
This is Duke. He is a pure bred German shepherd. Duke was born on July 4, 2007. He is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. He is a very loving boy. He still acts like a puppy. Duke likes going for walks, playing outside, his pool, and most toys. He knows most commands. Duke likes to be groomed and will let you cut his nails. Duke loves being with people, is fine around cats, and is also fine with non dominant dogs.

Duke's current owner needs to find him a new home because her other male dog is aggressive towards Duke. She don't want to part with him but she wants Duke to have a safe and peaceful home. This is one of the most difficult things she has ever had to do. She prays Duke will find a more appropriate forever home. Duke still has lots of life, love, and fun to share.

GSD/large breed experience inquiries only please.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duke - Courtesy Post, a Rochester/Buffalo German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Rochester/Buffalo, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Rochester/Buffalo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rochester/Buffalo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rochester/Buffalo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rochester/Buffalo paves the way for another one to be saved.
