My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Last update: September 2014

Mike is doing so well, his greatest passion in life is to play with other dogs. He also likes to walk in the woods and when he is done playing, he will be a total couch potato. He likes to chew and does well when you give him appropriate chew toys. He likes to play with toys, especially if they belong to one of the other dogs ; 0 )

Mikey bonds with his humans, he does seem to pick one to attach to and he lavishes all his kisses on that person. He can be nervous when meeting new humans but will keep checking back and respond to your positive energy. And if his dog friend says it's OK, he's all in! He loves to ride in the car, loves to go to the dog park and is very much the little lovebug once he settles into a home. He knows "sit" and is working on other commands. He is SO eager to please!

We didn't think it was possible but we separated Mike from his sister Marlo and she got adopted. Both of them are doing fine. As long as Mikey has another active dog in his life he will be fine. He loves his humans and loves to play. He is a great medium size, and while he can be a little tentative at first meeting, he really wants to bond with people and takes the other dog's lead to know that you are a good person to hang out with! Mikey has spent time with kids and he does great!

Mike is about 1 1/2 years old now and is filling out at about 50 lbs. He is fine with cats and did we mention he LOVES other dogs! He tires himself out at day care!

Mike will only be considered to go into a home with another dog present to help his confidence and his ability to bond with his new family.

To apply to adopt this dog, please visit our web site to access our application and learn more about adoption through Lucky Pup Rescue, www.luckypuprescue.org, or request an application via email, luckypuprescue@yahoo.com.

Please note, we do not have a physical location, but we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.

Thank you for considering rescue!
