Ty is a handsome 5 year old boy, who was surrendered by his heartbroken family because their new daughter has allergies that make it impossible for them to keep pets around her (the family cat also had to find a new home). He is a German Shepherd mix, and could also possibly be mixed with Border Collie or some other type of herding dog as he is lean in build, and medium size in stature, weighing in at about 46 lbs (we think he could stand to gain a few pounds though).

Ty has a sweet and friendly personality, and is just downright cute!! He is great with people of all sizes, and is also good with both dogs and cats as well. He is calm in the house, and just likes to be wherever his family is. He has a blast at the local dog park, and loves playing and running with all the dogs, and seems to get along nicely with the dogs in his foster home. Since he seems to love his human's attention the most, he could also do well as your "one and only". He enjoys being petted, and you will always find him laying by your feet or somewhere close by to make sure you're always in sight. He can sometimes get a little nervous if you startle him or come at him too fast, but will quickly come right back over when he realizes you didn't mean to scare him.

Ty is housetrained, up to date on his shots, neutered, and also crate trained. He knows some commands like "sit" and "down", and also how to "shake". He is gentle, and will take treats nicely. He seems to walk nicely on a leash, tugging only occasionally when he sees something really exciting that catches his eye. If you're looking for a sweet, friendly pal to keep you company and share all your love with, then Ty is the guy for you!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ty, a Warren German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Warren, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Warren.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Warren already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Warren breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Warren paves the way for another one to be saved.
