My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Sandy... another foster dog from Animal Friends of the Valley... She was taken in along with her puppies and of course all the puppies were adopted, but still Sandy is left.

The following is a note from her foster mom:

Sandy is as loyal as they come. Once she warms up to you she is a love bug. She's a great cuddle partner when it's time to settle down for the night, or just a couch potato to watch some T.V. with, but she's also very energetic, when she's sees her leash she practically does flips she gets so excited to go for a walk. She walks pretty good on a halter and loves to take in all the smells. Sandy has played well with all the dogs that have come over to play, her and my female chow have become close. Sandy LOVES food and snacks of all kinds, she'll even crunch on raw carrots! she gets along with all people... My 2 year old niece and 6 year old nephew play with her all the time and she is great with them, even when she had her puppies. She is house-broken, but will also go on pee-pee pads if necessary. Sandy may be nervous at first, but after a few minutes she calms down and is a great dog. If you're looking for a wonderful companion and an awesome watch dog, Sandy is your Gal!
