My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Crystal is a 1.5 - 2 year old blue merle female, excessive white that thankfully can see and hear. She is spayed, up-to-date on shots, and microchipped.

Crystal was found as a stray wandering down a busy highway in the Panhandle of Florida. A very nice family picked her up, and tried hard to find an owner without success. They contacted ARPH to see if we could take her in because they would be leaving town and could not take her with them. She had a broken canine that had rotted, causing her extreme pain so it has been removed. She is feeling better and ready to go to her new home. She is very underweight at 38 pounds so we are working on getting her to her ideal weight and with good nutrition, her coat will improve. So far we know that she is a typical Aussie that loves to run, loves her toys and loves to be in your lap for kisses and hugs. She is house trained and sleeps well in a crate if needed. She loves to go for a ride in the car. She is quickly learning some commands such as sit for her food bowl or treats, is coming along very nicely on her leash training and just wiggles with delight when asked to come. She learned the doggie door within a few minutes. Crystal has blended in well with the pack of six dogs in our home and meets new people with the strong wiggle butt and an Aussie smile. Crystal would be a wonderful companion, however, we do not know yet if she is good with kids or cats.
