Jasper County Animal Control received a call
regarding two skinny puppies along the side of the road. Animal control found
the puppies and went to the near-by house to see if the puppies belonged to
them. The animal control officers reported that the house had bars on the
windows and doors, and the front door could not be reached for all of the junk
and debris. Then they noticed a dog chained to a tree. The chain this small girl
wore around her neck was a log chain ... a thick, heavy chain used to move logs.
She had no food, water or shelter. Empty cans were strewn around as if someone
was at times trying to feed her. In this case, going into a run-down animal
control shelter was much better than how this girl was living! Notification was
left for the people. Unfortunately, the woman responded stating she was coming
in to get her dog. The county oridances are not strong enough and, rather than
punish people for the mistreatment of animals, they return them to live in the
same conditions in which they were found. Luckily, the woman did not come in on
the final day of her dog's holding period, and Rescue Me GA got her out and
transported her to O.P.P. Brianna is a super sweet, loving girl! We need to find
her a home immediately! She has been through so much in her life and needs a
home that will allow her to feel safe. If you are looking for a companion who
will love you unconditionally ... and you will do the same for her ... please
meet Brianna!

About Our Pals Place

About Our Rescue Group...

Our Pal’s Place is an animal advocate organization with a pet adoption facility and education center, located in Marietta, Georgia. Our mission is to provide solutions that improve the future for animals. We also run a summer camp program teaching children the importance of spay & neuter and kindness to animals.

Our purpose is to rescue animals from euthanasia at local animal control shelters. When entering the shelter, we first meet the animals who are on "death row". If we believe we can find the animal a good home, we bring them into our organization. We provide safe housing, food, basic training, necessary rehabilitation and a lot of TLC! The animals receive full veterinarian care and are spay/neutered. Meanwhile, we work to find these homelss animals a "forever home".

Rescue and adoption is an important step to helping homeless animals, but will not resolve the overpopulation problem, eliminate animal cruelty or prevent dog fighting. For this reason, Our Pal's Place is dedicated to providing solutions to current animal welfare issues through our education center and community outreach programs. In a positive, fun environment we teach solutions and provide hands-on learning experiences for youth and adults.
