In her summer haircut you can't quite tell that what's going to grow back is a beautiful feathery coat, but between her gentle temperament and her lush coat, we think there must be Golden in this girl somewhere!! There is no question Becca is one of the nicest dogs ever abandoned, and if you're looking for a very sweet girl who will love you forever, Becca is sure to exceed your expectations! She was dumped on a road in rural Arkansas, and now she's waiting for the ride of her life up north! In Becca's mind she is a lap dog (even though she doesn't quite fit!). If she was going to be a bigger dog she would be considered a "Gentle Giant" but since we think she'll only be about 50 pounds, we'll just call her "gentle"!!! This teddy bear of a girl is very affectionate and willing to take your lead in every way. She is very smart (much smarter than the foster mom's own dogs!!) and she will do anything to please you, only wanting your approval or a hug as her reward. She bonds very easily so we know she'll be your very best friend - - loyal and loving. She's being fostered in a home with lots of activity -- kids, dogs, cats, summer fun -- and she takes it all in stride!! Becca is about 5 months old, she weighs about 35 pounds, and she is a very healthy girl. We have no idea what her true mix is -- a "Chocolate Golden Retriever", maybe?? -- but she is gorgeous enough to design a breed after her! When she arrived, her longer hair was matted so she has been clipped, but we expect it will grow back with the beautiful feathering of a Golden Retriever.
