Gidget's Story...
Hi! My name isGidget. I am a sweet girl, full of personality, and I am just looking for my furever home! I am 10 weeks old, weigh about 3 pounds, and I love dogs, cats and kids. I was rescued from a local kill shelter after I was seized from a puppy mill. Fortunately I was saved from the puppy mill at a very young age so I don't have any lasting effects from living in poor conditions. I am spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, dewormed, current with all vaccines and on flea and heartworm prevention. The vet has checked me out and given me a clean bill of health! I am all ready to be adopted :) My adoption fee is $475, and covers all of my vetting, and includes the transport fee--I am currently being fostered in South Carolina, but I can catch a ride up north to meet my new family. Please email my rescue at daybeforetherainbow@yahoo.com to get an adoption application! Thanks for checking me out!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gidget, a Wilmington Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier puppy from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
