Giselle's Story...
Giselle is one of those beautiful...and so very loving...pups who never got a fair shake in life. She started out in rural Oklahoma where she wasn't given the benefit of human love, vetting or spaying. Of course...nature took its course and Giselle was pregnant by the time she was just under 1 year old...a baby herself. And there she was left...with 2 puppies, nowhere to go and no food for herself or her hungry babies. But Giselle was a great mom and never stopped searching for a way to care for her 2 little guys. Farfel's was made aware of this incredible 3-some as hope was growing dimmer for their survival...Anne from Farfel's knew just what to do - she rescued them and brought them to a safe, and loving foster home to regain their strength. Hopefully...somewhere...there would be a forever home that would cherish these special pups. Now that they're healthy, happy (and have the silliest antics we've ever seen), all 3 are ready to pursue their new lives in Colorado. We feel that Giselle deserves her own home...away from the puppies that she raised with complete dedication. She is a quiet and super-loving girl who wants nothing more than a permanent home with a family who truly adores her and is committed to her lifelong welfare. She bonds with all her heart to those who love her and there is no more devoted companion on earth. She seems to do great with all gentle children, adults and other dogs....at 1 - 1.5 years old and about 10 - 12 lbs, Giselle is a gift of positive energy, devotion and readiness to play...but also can snuggle up for the night with a sigh. She's so positive and portable that she's perfect to take along on trips. errands and put into any social situation where an awesome furry presence is appreciated. Giselle is a non-shedding pup and therefore requires periodic grooming to keep her gorgeous, cotton-like coat healthy and matt-free.

Giselle will be arriving on transport in Denver in early August. Applications are currently being accepted for this exceptional companion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Giselle, a Boulder Havanese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Havanese for sale in Boulder, or seeking a Havanese dog from a breeder in Boulder.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boulder already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boulder breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Havanese breeders who help with Havanese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boulder paves the way for another one to be saved.
