Hi my name is Brody. I am a big loveable brute! I have mild hip dysplasia as well as ADHD. I can be very stubborn, but will learn to please if you give me a chance. I should tell you that I consider cats to be 'fast food' so I can't go where there are cats in the house. I love coming in from the cold and being covered with a blanket, where I will sleep for hours. My favorite thing in the whole world is cuddling. I am great with children and like to swim and fetch things. I do, however, like to eat potted plants. You can scratch me anywhere and I will love it. I would do best as the only animal in the house. I love raw-hides, provided you have started to peel them for me, and due to my ginormous cranium melon, can destroy one in under twenty minutes. Oh, I also likes to eat pillows. I would require a moderately sized fenced yard and lots of attention. I have a very intimidating bark for a doorbell, but love to meet new people when they are invited in. When I am scolded, I do a great Sylvester Stallone impression. I have personality plus so, if you want to adopt a wonderful boy who is full of life, energy and love that would be me! Please go to, find my picture in the dog pages, click on my picture and fill out the adoption form.

Adoption Fee is $ TBA

Adoption fee covers for our Adoption Package for dogs which may include if over 6 months of age: heart worm checked, treated for any fleas and worms, micro-chipped, up to date rabies vaccination, spayed/neutered, DHLPP vaccinations. Discounted 30 days of health insurance, and basic & problem solving training before and after adoption if needed. Full health records are provided to the adopters.

The Adoption fee we ask of adopters is not to pay for the dog. The dog itself is free! The Adoption fee is used merely to reimburse our rescue for veterinary expenses that any responsible owner would spend anyway when bringing a new dog into their home. However if there are any funds left over from one dogs adoption fee, it is used to help the next dog that comes along. Sometimes FSFH's veterinarian expenses on one animal will be less than this fee, but another dog might require several hundred additional dollars worth of care. Without being able to recover at least the minimal veterinarian expenses on our dogs, FSFH could not continue to rescue. FSFH's fee does not cover the general cost of keeping a dog in rescue (food, equipment, etc.). FSFH relies solely on donations to cover all other expenses related to caring for their rescued dogs. Thank you for understanding.

If interested in adopting please go to to get an application. Adoption forms are found by clicking on the animals pictures.

We also accept donations of dog food, cat food, cat litter, and large durable dog toys. Vet care Donations needed also!

Our Adoption Process...

A few Steps from home animal Rescue requires a adoption contract to be filled out prior to adopting an animal. By filling this out, it does not mean you will be eligible for one of our pets. We do extensive veterinary and reference checks on all potential applicants. We do ask for a donation fee for the adoption of our animals to cover the vet care we have provided to the animals. After approval a contract is required to be signed.
