Buster's Story...
Hi, my name is Buster! A20459616 I recently came to the shelter as a stray but I’m not letting that get me down! I am the happiest dog. Even in the scary shelter while I’m inside my kennel. The volunteers said it’s amazing how much of a happy guy I am. I have no idea what kind of dog I am. I heard someone say I’m maybe a bull terrier mix, or a pit mix – I’m not that big though – I’m kind of compact and maybe around 45 pounds. Everyone who meets me tells me how cute and soft I am. My fur is soooo soft and in such good condition. I must have been someone’s pet once, because I kind of even smell good – that’s no small feat here in the shelter! I’m still kind of a puppy – no one knows for sure how old I am, but I am definitely young and I am a lover of all! I am in love with the world! I will require training and patience, just like any other puppy.

I have the wiggliest butt and I love to play. I love to give kisses and to cuddle – but then I run because I want to play. I like to chase after balls and toys, but then I get so excited that I forget to bring them back to you. I can learn though! I am very clumsy and uncoordinated and I fall down sometimes while running around in the play yard! I get so excited that I can’t help it!

I think I’d like other dogs but I haven’t met any here at the shelter yet. If you are interested in adopting me, please bring your kids and other dogs to meet me at the shelter. I’d really love to get out of here and into a family of my own. You won’t regret it, because I am super special.

Act quickly to adopt Buster. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buster, a Philadelphia Bull Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bull Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Philadelphia, or seeking a Bull Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Philadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Philadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Philadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bull Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Bull Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Philadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
