Tessa is a sweet, affectionate, gorgeous girl that would LOVE to curl up beside you on the couch or at your feet. Although quite the athlete even at 9 years old, she is perfectly content to be inside and calm. If you do happen to want a running buddy, she might be up for that too! She LOVES to play with other dogs - males, females, small or big, puppies or older dogs - it doesn't matter - she loves them all - and will play for as long as any dog wants to. She is excellent on a leash and likes to ride in the car. She has a short, easy to maintain coat. Tessa was skin and bones when she ended up at the shelter when we first rescued her in 2007. In spite of the neglect she had suffered, she impressed us all with her happy persona and spunk. She was adopted out to a family in Virginia and had lived happily with them until recently when their circumstances changed. Tessa is back here with us and would love to find another family to adore. She weighs 42 lbs. She is very smart and attentive. She catches on quickly to new commands and routines and is very eager to please. Tessa is crate-trained and housebroken. She is spayed, up-to-date on her vaccines, heartworm negative, current on preventative and she is microchipped!
