Meet Bonzai - a lovely and gentle 3 year old (Est. d.o.b - 6/20/2010) lab/retriever mix who is house-trained, great with kids and other animals and absolutely loves being with his people. He is approx. 16 kilograms.

Bonzai joined New Hope after being found as a stray. It was quickly determined that Bonzai had suffered a gun shot wound to his face at some point in his past. He underwent surgery to address the trauma from this injury and has since fully recovered and been cleared by his vet for adoption!

Bonzai loves going for walks with his people - he even does a cute little dance when his leash and harness make an appearance! Almost as much as he loves walks, he loves food! (A great thing when it comes to continued training!) Bonzai is laid back and enjoys the company of the three cats and other medium-sized dog in his foster home. He would love to continue learning new training tricks and skills as well.
