ELLA's Story...
ELLA is a beautiful two year old border collie/terrier mix who will be about 40 pounds when she's at a healthy weight. Ella is a playful, affectionate, well-behaved dog who loves people, other dogs, and kids. She would be a wonderful pet for an active family or a great companion for a dog that needs a buddy. Ella has been great with housetraining and is all around a wonderful dog. She was extremely emaciated when we rescued her from the shelter, so she's still putting back on weight.

Please email us for more information on this wonderful dog!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

ELLA, a Chicago Border Collie/Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Rat Terrier for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Border Collie/Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Rat Terrier breeders who help with Border Collie/Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
