Argo, and his twin brother Aries, were rescued from a home that had more kittens than could be cared for. They have been raised in a loving foster home and will be available for adoption on July 25, after their neuter surgery on July 23. They are both very sweet. Argo tends to be more of a snuggler while Aries likes to romp and play. Please call the Humane Society shelter at (309) 944-4868 for more information. Argo (and/or Aries) can be put on Hold with a completed adoption application and deposit. DOB 4-4-13. POSTED JULY 19, 2013. Argo had all his vet work done today! UPDATED JULY 23, 2013.

Argo is currently at the Davenport Petsmart with some of our other shelter felines. He will return to the shelter August 31 unless he gets adopted before then. UPDATED AUGUST 20, 2013.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Argo, a Geneseo Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Geneseo, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Geneseo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Geneseo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Geneseo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Geneseo paves the way for another one to be saved.
