CJ's Story...
This big, beautiful boy is CJ, a 4 1/2 year old chocolate lab that would love a new home. CJ was turned in due to his owners moving, and he's hoping for a fresh start in life. CJ is a very gentle, sweet, loving boy that is a real dreamboat. He is so well behaved and is a real gentleman. CJ is a bit overweight, so he would love a home where he could get plenty of exercise. He is enjoying his walks and checking out his new surroundings, and is even getting a little excited over squeaky toys. CJ gets along great with everyone including dogs and cats, and he would make the perfect addition to any family. He is calm, friendly, and just an all-around great guy! CJ is very hopeful for a great home where he will be loved and cared for the way he deserves to be, and he has lots of love to give in return! 7/17/13 File#22650

Why Adoption is a Great Option

CJ, a Forked River Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
