Collin's Story...
Collin is a sweet boy who needs a forever home. He has tried twice already, but keeps getting dumped, no fault of his own. He is a 3 year old chihuahua/jack russell terrier mix that needs a very special home. He is great with other dogs and cats. He likes to groom other dogs, so he will need a friend that will be tolerant of this. He would not do well as an only dog. He is very social and craves attention from his human and other dogs. He is good with cats as well, but may annoy them and chase them. He prefers women, but will tolerate men. When he gets excited (usually when you come home for the first time) he will jump very high, bark and may nip at your pants or fingers....this is not a bite (although it may feel like one at times) he is just mouthy. For the most part, he is very content as long as he has the necessities of a little dog and a friend. He is a funnly little guy that will keep you laughing and has acrobatic qualities. If Collin sounds like the perfect match for you, please e-mail me. Serious inquiries only please, he needs this to be his LAST stop for the rest of his life.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Collin, a Charleston Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Charleston, or seeking a Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Charleston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Charleston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Charleston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Charleston paves the way for another one to be saved.
