Hannah is a sweet and goofy 10 yr old. She is white with a blue head. She loves to walk, go for car rides and enjoys cuddling with other igs. She has to have a fenced yard and another iggy buddy as a companion. She is crate trained and does well on potty. She is used to a dog door. Typical Iggy with some potty issues in inclement weather.
Hannah is a wonderful dog, but she does have a big health concern. She has mast cell cancer. The great news is that rescue has been able to get the cancer to go into remission, and it is thanks to a new drug called palladia. The hard news is that she needs to remain on this drug for the rest of her life to keep the cancer at bay. The palladia is expensive, and we know that most people are not able to take on a dog like Hannah - but if there is a chance someone out there is looking to help a special needs dog, and has the means to take her on we would love for her to find a forever home for the rest of her time. She takes a few other medications that are very inexpensive to help imrove her quality of life. She requires bloodtests every two months to monitor how she is doing. She also has glaucoma in her left eye from a corneal laceration that was left untreated. she has eye drops twice a day. She would need a home willing to continue her course of care - she is in good hands until she finds that home, but we really hope someone out there might consider sharing their home with this wonderful little girl.
Hannah is good with cats and gentle older kids. she also travels well and has stayed in hotel rooms and really enjoyed it. If you would like to know more, we are happy to get your questions answered. In this case, we would like to speak to you before you put in an application. We want to make sure any potential adopters understand Hannah and her needs!
