My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Aptly named for the way he inhaled the first food we offered him, Hoover is one sweet little guy. Between one and two years old, Hoover is sweet, smart yet silly, and submissive. His very short tail makes him even more adorable.

Hoover is on the small size for a medium-sized dog, tipping the scale at just over 25 pounds. He is very agile and is adorable when he stands on his hind legs like a human to see what he can see at a higher level. He easily listens to his people and is more concerned that they be happy with him. He would be a great family dog.

Hoover still needs some leash work. The leash scares him so much that he prefers to roll over on his back or lean against your leg - poor boy. It won't take him long though with proper motivation and encouragement. He sleeps through the night without complaint in a crate, and did wonderful in the car. He is wonderful with all the dogs at his foster home and even the cat.

If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting this sweet young boy, please email us at tmabrescue@gmail.com for an application.

All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live.

Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed, de-flea'd, is up to date on shots, is spayed/neutered, microchipped, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a leash & collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
