Tala's Story...
Meet Tala – Tala is a sweet and adorable puppy who was dumped at a boarding facility. She recnetly went into a foster home but needs a forever home.
Tala is a Lab mix, was born around March 2013 and at 3 months, weighed 12 pounds. She has been fully vetted and will be spayed when she is older. It is hard to predict how large she will be when fully grown but we don't think she will get very big.
Tala is a very sweet, good natured and playful puppy. She gets along well with other dogs and although she has not been around cats, we don't expect she'll have any problems with them. Is there anyone out ther who can give this sweetheart a forever home? If so, please contact tauna@barriodogs.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tala, a Houston Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Houston, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
