My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Carter's incredible temperament becomes evident the moment anyone makes his acquaintance. When we take Carter for a walk, he makes many friends immediately. He's so engaging and positive that he can't help but wiggle and wag in delight. He's also great in his interaction with other dogs...so being out and about with Carter is wonderful and stress-free. He's been on errands in urban areas, he's been on hikes where there are other dogs and their people and in both cases, Carter has been so friendly and appropriate. Carter is just one of those personalities that is extremely even and calm...we get the sense that he doesn't take anything that seriously - life is meant to be enjoyed at this moment without worry. He doesn't suffer from anxiety even though he's had a challenging life...he has the capability of leaving that behind and looking ahead to his new world in Colorado. Carter, at 18 lbs and about 1.5 years old would enjoy times of exercise in his life. A family that would enjoy walking/hiking the trails with their well-behaved dog would be great for Carter. It would not only satisfy exercise and social needs, it would mean he's spending lots of time with his family and that would make Carter so very happy! Carter is also very well-behaved in the home....any accidents or destruction is far beneath the dignity of this guy. This adorable love bug would not be appropriate for those that suffer from severe allergies...he has extremely soft hair that can shed very lightly. We feel that if he's kept bathed and brushed, that shedding will be very minor.

Carter will be arriving on transport in Denver in late July. Applications are currently being accepted for this truly exceptional family companion.
