My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Tobias, my friends call me Toby. I am a year old male Schnauzer/Wheaten Terrier mix. I am a perfect size...about 40 pounds. I am potty trained, chipped, neutered and current on vaccinations.

When people see me out walking they are immediately drawn to me and say what a handsome dog I am. I think that's because I am all soft and cuddly with a smiling face! I am friendly and playful and get along well with other dogs with the proper introduction.

Though I would rather be with my humans and doggie playmates, I am okay if you need to put me in my crate for awhile. I might bark a little at first but if you just ignore me, I'll quickly settle down.

I would dearly love a nice forever home with an active person or family who will take time to walk me and continue my training. They tell me I walk pretty well on a leash though I get excited when I see other dogs. I know you will help me work though that.

I would love an enclosed yard and another dog who likes to play. I promise to be a good dog and to make you laugh with my cute antics. You will love my sweet playful personality but you will need a sense of humor and patience because I still have some puppy in me!

They found me on the streets abandoned and hungry and full of matted fur. I am so relieved to be safe now and am ready for my forever home.
