Sophie's Story...
Initial Bio 7/18/13: On 7-15-2013 Fort Worth Animal Control called UYR about a momma yorkie with 3 new babies that were 3 days old. Little did we know when we rescued her that Sophie would be the most remarkable little dog. Her name is Sophie and she is a 3 year old 10 pound little girl. She has 3 precious little boy babies. She was picked up as a stray on 7-2-2013,

She is a wonderful little mom who is very attentive to the new babies. She is also the sweetest, friendliest little girl who loves everyone and likes to sit in your lap, give kisses, and get tummy rubs! She is housebroken and hasn’t had an accident since the first day when she was very nervous.

She won’t be available for adoption until her puppies are weaned, she is spayed, and she has her teeth cleaned.

Stay tuned as we get to know her better!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophie, a Yakima Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Yakima, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Yakima.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Yakima already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Yakima breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Yakima paves the way for another one to be saved.
