Meet Scotch! This guy is straight from Hazard County Kentucky! We believe that he may be a golden retriever/corgi mix based on those funny ears and the texture and appearance of his coat, but really he's just a good ol mixed breed dog. Scotch lived the first part of his life in an outdoor pen in poor living conditions. Because his previous owners did not keep him on a heartworm preventative, he tested positive for heartworms. However, he has been treated with immiticide injections and is on the road to full recovery. He has not shown any clinical signs of damage and will be given the "all clear" to resume normal activities around the first week of August. He is very sweet, does well with other dogs, has not had any accidents in the house, and is just a really nice boy. We have him labeled as "good with cats", but thats because there is not an "unpredictable with cats" option. We have introduced him to 5 cats.... 4 of which he paid no attention to and even tried to kiss one of them... but his foster moms cat has been chased under the bed a few times which leaves us a bit concerned. He sleeps in his crate without a peep and travels in the car just the same.Scotch is going to make a very nice pet for a very lucky family. If you are interested in Scotch, please let us know.
