Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Brutus is a snugly sweet and well-socialized three-month-old, 19-pound, male, brindle, stocky, friendly and outgoing pit bull terrier-mix puppy looking for a loving guardian. His canine mom and dad landed at Chicago Animal Care & Control when their caretaker was arrested on drug charges. He was born at the shelter on April 17th. A day later a foster for Friends of Animal Care and Control brought him home to bottle feed and care for him when their mom was so distressed that she trampled to death his siblings and refused to nurse them. He has thrived in his foster home and he loves other dogs, cats and people. He is very attentive and has already mastered the sit command at an early age. He is doing well with his crate-training and housebreaking. He is looking for a dedicated guardian with the time for training and exercising a puppy so he becomes a model canine citizen. Enrollment in training classes is a requirement. Brutus is up-to-date on vaccines, de-wormed and fecal-tested. He will be neutered and micro-chipped in August. To meet and possibly adopt Brutus, please contact his foster mom Nicole and request an adoption application at denhundsite@gmail.com or 847-644-6782. His adoption fee of $250 benefits the rescued pets of the Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control.
