Bogart's Story...
Hi my name is Bogart, but you can call me Bo or BoBo. My foster mom says the best way to describe me is like a big ball of sloppy kisses!! I am around 3-years old, a hound / shar pei mix and truly as sweet as can be. I love people and would love to snuggle on the couch or in bed with you and give you kisses. I am housebroken, crate trained, neutered and up to date on my vaccinations. I love to go for walks and smell everything out there; I might just excel at scent work training (for fun - not for work). While I am not trying to hurt anything, I do not like cats and play way too rough with little dogs. The best home would be one where I was either the only dog or maybe one other large mellow dog.
I would love to meet you and your family; I would make a wonderful addition to just about any home!!
Will you be my fur-ever family?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bogart, a Gurnee Hound (Unknown Type)/Shar Pei dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type)/Shar Pei for sale in Gurnee, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type)/Shar Pei dog from a breeder in Gurnee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gurnee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gurnee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type)/Shar Pei breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type)/Shar Pei rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gurnee paves the way for another one to be saved.
