Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Abbie looks like a full blooded English bulldog, all though she is a stray and we can't say for sure, but she looks like she is. She is about 5 to 6 years old. Abbie was brought into rescue due to neglect. Upon vet visits, Abbie now weighs 45 pounds, is spayed, up to date on all shots, and heartworm negatitve. We also put her on heartworm preventative, as well as, flea/tick medication.
Abbie came into rescue in bad shape. She has a lot of hair loss due to ticks/fleas and was dehydrated. Her eyes were badly infected to the point of almost blindess. She has responded well to antibiotics and is showing improvement. HOWEVER, it is important to note, she may need artificial tears daily for the rest of her life due to scar tissue in her eyes from past untreated eye infections.
Abbie has no problem with other dogs, she actually plays and chews on toys! She is good with kids, BUT in no way a guard dog! She is too loving! She prefers a cold spot on the floor over the bed.
As before, she has came along way in her foster home. She is housetrained and will go to the door, however, she wont wait long for you to go out. She walks well on a leash and LOVES car rides. She is true to her breed, she needs a schedule, she snores, had to have daily walks in the coolest of temps, and doesn't care for the heat..or the baths!
If your interested in Abbie, and give her an affectionate family who can help know she is safe and loved...I hope you are that family!
