Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Pinkie get his name because when he was first rescued, he was pink like a newborn mouse. Poor Pinkie had the worst case of (non-contagious) mange we had ever seen and NO fur to cover his little body. He, along with 138 other dogs, was confiscated from a severe hoarding situation and spent one month at a shelter where he was held as evidence. He had been severely neglected and as a result he was painfully shy.
Through love, patience, and the right medical attention, Pinkie has blossomed like a rose in the sun before our very eyes. His fur is growing back a glorious white/blonde color and his green eyes now gleam with love. He is playful with dogs, gentle/ok with cats, and a total snuggler who won't pass up chance to sleep in with you on Saturday morning. He walks well on a leash and plays beautifully at the dog park. He can still be a bit shy at first with humans but is gaining confidence every day. Pinkie would also really benefit from having another dog in the house as he looks to take cues from them and bonds strongly with them.
At this time, Pinkie is still positive for (non contagious) mange and cannot be neutered until this condition is fully cleared. He is continuing to receive regular treatment and medicated baths so that this can happen as soon as possible.
