Kaya is a petite black and white young lady with enchanting blue eyes. She was picked up as a stray by the shelter but has shown us she has had some training with excellent obedience skills and house manners. Her sit, down, and paw commands are strikingly sharp.
She is housebroken and crate trained. Kaya is a polite lady who does not chew and is not destructive; therefore, the crate is only used as a safe place for her to take a quiet nap. Once in a loving forever home she will probably prefer to stay close to, and sleep near, her humans.
Kaya gets along with other dogs and will excel with an owner who is a pack leader. She enjoys play-time with both other dogs and her humans. With the help of her foster family, Kaya has learned to walk well on a leash and she loves being out and about.
Like most Huskies, she is friendly with strangers, always willing to stop and be petted. She also loves to ride in the car and look everywhere so she does not miss any important events. Kaya is very energetic and likes to jump, so a sturdy fence is a plus for this fancy lady.
She is cat friendly and has shown no interest at all on the resident cat. This is consistent with her behavior at the shelter where she was walked by the cat cages and did not even look at them. Of course, we always recommend supervision when Huskies are around small creatures.
Kaya is healthy, spayed, up-to-date on shots, Heartworm negative, and microchipped.
