My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

****UPDATE 10/22**** We have really learned a lot about our sweet Izzo boy. We are in search of the perfect home for this guy. Izzo loves children and does great with them. Izzo also loves people, however he is a little picky about what other dogs he would like in his family. For this reason, Izzo needs to either be an only dog in his home or in a home with a laid back female. Izzo would prefer a home where he can be a couch potato most of the time, surrounded by his family and go on short walks. Izzo brings so much love to his foster family. Izzo would be great for a busy family, a retiree, or someone who is a first time boxer owner. Please consider making Izzo a part of your family.

**Update 7/23**: Izzo an approximately 3 y/o boy that was recently transferred to our rescue from a shelter, where he had been found stray and never reclaimed. He is UTD on vaccs, tested HW negative (and on preventative) and neutered. Izzo has settled into his foster home and is doing very well. He gets along great with the other dogs (big and small) in his home. He does very well on a leash. He will need to go to home committed to feeding him a high quality dog food as he has sensitive, itchy skin. We are also working on getting him to healthy weight through scheduled, measured feedings and increased activity. Izzo is a big sweet boy who loves people and can't resist an ear scratch. He prefers to be indoors, only going outside to use the bathroom. He is completely house trained and crate trained, though has also been left out to roam the house and has done fine wih that arrangement, too. Izzo is a low energy boy, but needs a family who will be committed to continuing his exercise so we can protect his joints as he ages.

Izzo was just transferred to our rescue after he was turned in as a stray at a shelter and never claimed. We believe he is 2-3 years old and is current on his shots and neutered. He has been placed in a foster home and once we know more about him we will update his page.
