Ashoka (The Great)
Hi, I am Ashoka and I am a male Siamese/Himi mix. Nobody knows much about my early life but me (and I’m not telling). For almost two years, I was living under an RV (and in the bushes) in a rural area. Most cats would not last long in those circumstances but my life force is strong and I am very adaptable. I fought for and won a large territory and had a harem of female cats. Along the way I found a human friend who gave me food and some shelter on those freezing cold nights. In return I let him pet me (I secretly liked that best). One day, I hurt my foot and could not walk except on three legs. I was in danger of being eaten. But my human friend took me to the vet where they attended to my foot and gave me shots. They found out that I have the FIV virus (no doubt the result of one of my epic battles); but my friend gave me a place to stay anyway. I am now very healthy with no sign of active FIV. For the past several months I have been recovering and training for a new life as a companion. I am very affectionate and love to play with kitty toys (I told you I am very adaptable). I live in a house with other kitties, but I need to be isolated because of my FIV. I need a forever home where I can attend to my owner full time and maybe have a FIV positive kitty friend (I would like that!). I am big and strong, and very handsome and would be a good pet for a retired military man or maybe a woman who appreciates having a man around the house.
