My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kobe 11 month old male black and silver Maine Coon mix
Fostered in Santa Cruz

We were going to call him Marley but when he showed us what a great jumper he was we had to change his name to Kobe. What a jumper.!!! He LOVES to jump and jumps way up into the air. It is so much fun to watch him. He is full of energy.

He is also basically a goof ball, a little comedian. And he has a kind of funny looking face. You can see right away he is quite a character. Maine Coons are known for being eccentric oddballs. They are smart , social, very interactive with their humans and full of little quirks of behavior. Very often they are comedians. So much fun.

Kobe has a very sweet cuddly nature but he is definitely shy with strangers. He softens and melts with those of us who love him but it sometimes takes a moment. Especially if what he really wants to do is "get that feather!". And jump way up in the air. !!!! He is still very much a kitten and play is what kittens are all about. The lazy cuddly days come later.

This boy is very cat friendly and would be happy with a playmate or two. I am not sure how he would do with dogs. Probably fine once he figured them out after a slow introduction. He needs a family who would enjoy playing with him. He also needs a patient family who will give him some time to get to know them before he settles in and shows his sweet side.

You can see his dramatic black and silver markings. He has some of
the glossiest, silkiest fur I have ever had the pleasure to cuddle.
Keegan, my other Maine Coon foster, has similar markings and they would make a striking pair.

Kobe would be a great family pet. I would suggest for him not young but middle aged children who would love to play with him but won't be overly aggressive with him. As he grows up out of his babyhood he will become more confident and resilient. He is still a baby.He will become a big silly, luscious guy.

He eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.

His foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.
