My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gunnar is an 18 month old Great Pyr surrendered to a shelter when he grew too big! He may be mixed with Golden Retriever but he has the height (25 inches) and weight (90 pounds, lean) of a Great Pyr. His coat is all white with no cream, but he does have tan ears. Gunnar is a mellow guy who is very polite and loves people. In fact he loves to be petted and be near people as much as possible. Gunnar gets along with all dogs. He is nice and gentle towards cats, even if they aren't so nice to him. He even met a snake outside and tried to make friends, but the snake wasn't interested. He is neutered and up to date on shots. Gunnar came with a horrible skin infection that caused him to lose some hair. Now on antibiotics, his skin is calming down and the vet says his hair will grow in. Likely he has allergies that got out of control. He is not scratching or flaking anymore and will be very handsome once his coat grows back. Gunnar is house-trained and knows basic commands and also walks nicely on a leash. He is crate trained and will go in when we are just hanging out even though the door is open. He has a wonderful curious but not obnoxious personality! He would make a great pet in any household, as he is so gentle and sweet.

An adoption application, site visit, secure visible fencing, and an adoption fee is required to adopt Gunnar.
