My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi I'm Lilly! Pleased to meet you! I'm a 2 year old, 31 pound beagle mix girl. My foster parents think I am a beagle / springer spaniel mix. I have a beagley face and ears, but the rest of my body is taller and thinner than a beagle. I have a really soft, thick coat and a fluffy tail!

I did not come from the best circumstances and was surrendered with many other dogs to authorities in a neglect case. I spent quite a while at a vet clinic while a nice lady worked hard to place me in a rescue. Midwest BREW was able to take me in and I'm loving life in my foster home!

Here's what my foster family thinks you should know if you are considering adopting me:
1. Lilly is sweet and seems to really love all people she meets
2. Lilly is cautious around new dogs and reactive to dogs she sees on walks and out and about (a lot of barking and excitement)
3. Lilly does not like to be crated when at home, but is OK being crated in the car.
4. Lilly has been fine when we confine her to a bedroom when we need to leave the home. No accidents or chewing.
5. Lilly is great on leash and loves walks
6. Lilly is calm in the house and pretty active outside. Being a young dog, she will need exercise.
7. Lilly gets a little nippy when playing, so we would not recommend her for a home with small children.

In summary, Lilly is a really sweet and fun dog. An ideal family will be active and willing to work on training, particularly helping her with introductions to new dogs. Lilly is very smart and will do great with positive reinforcement training. Contact Midwest BREW if you would like to learn more about her!
