MEET TIGGER....a sweetheart of a dog, who has had a rough life in the past This little 15 lb, gray/white, 2 yr old, Lhasa/Poodle ??? mix came to the Orange County shelter so matted that our groomer had to shave him. Now, it's hard to tell what breed he is...but you can see his before picture (and read the rest of his profile) at http://www.lhasahappyhomes.org/HLM_Custom_DogsDetails.aspx?ID=976613a8-5231-4e39-9ee0-65326cd294e4 in the center of the page. Tigger is sometimes a little skiddish at first, as who knows what he has been thru. That being said, we didn't think he should go to a home with kids, yet his foster has a 9 yr old son, and Tigger loves him! Still, he would be better in a home with adults or children over 12 yrs. He is a bit timid around men, but that fear dissipates quickly. He should be introduced first, and as he gets more confident, this behavior will disappear. He loves to give kisses, loves to be held...he can be a little bossy but he loves to play with the other dogs, with toys and with you! He would be great in a home with one other playful dog and a yard! We're working on his potty training skills but never guarantee anyway!! That's what belly bands are for! Tigger is a great little guy who will love you unconditionally. A little patience and a lot of love will go a long way with this special boy.

Most Sundays, unless we are doing a special event, we are at Westfield Century City Mall from 12p-4pm behind the Concierge Booth near Brooks Bros. Park in the Orange Section in the parking structure and come up the escallator and follow the signage. You can see this, and many more, adorable pups at this weekly event! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!!!
