Sake is a very sweet boy who is really a friendly boy – or rather he wants to be friendly he is just trying to figure out how to be friendly. We believe a poor upbringing coupled with an over extended stay at a pound was just really overwhelming for Sake and so now he is relearning how to take it one day at a time
He currently has anxiety and this anxiety can cause him to lose focus. Sake really is a good boy and absolutely aims to please just sometimes he is busy looking elsewhere when he should be paying attention to his foster mummy
Sake’s foster mummy is also a trainer and she has been clicker training him and showing him fun tricks like how to play dead. He is picking up everything so fast!
We would like a home for Sake out of the city, a place where he has a fenced in area to run and stretch his legs. He would have to be the only doggie in the home because of the anxiety he can display we feel that having another doggie around him just might be too much. He also does not get along well with other dogs his size while one could label him as aggressive we believe with Sake it is fear related… poor guy is just scared of being hurt or attacked.
Sake has not been tested with children but we strongly believe he is best in a home with no children and with people who have a positive reinforcement attitude because he responds very well to this type of trainer. Sake wants to follow a leader
Sake’s trainer has volunteered her services to anyone who choose to adopt Sake, she will help with integration in to your home and be there as a support network for any questions you may have
If you are someone who has experience with dogs and confident please email us to meet Sake. He is a total lovebug who will shower you with kisses and just wants to lay by your feetsies close to you! We would love to get Sake out of the city to a space where he can roam free and enjoy life.
