Hello! My name is Leyna, and my foster mom says I am just about the sweetest dog ever (and my foster dad said she’s not exaggerating!).
I am about 5-6 years old and weigh about 17 pounds. I started my life as a puppy mill dog, but I was rescued by Schnauzer Rescue Cincinnati and adopted to a family in 2009. Unfortunately, my owner became very sick and is now unable to care for me. Schnauzer Rescue Cincinnati stepped in again and I’m back looking for my second forever home.
In the four years I was with my first family, I learned to become a dog again. I can walk on a leash, and my foster mom is thankful I don’t pull on the leash like my foster brother and sister. I am very calm and cuddly and some might say I’m a little timid. I am house trained and have been very good in a crate at my foster home.
I get along well with my foster brothers and sister (all Schnauzers), although, I generally stand off to the side when they begin playing. I have been introduced to some children while at my new foster home, and I did well with them. I am going to have a chance soon to meet more just to be sure I like them. I have not been introduced to any cats, so I don’t know how I feel about them.
Justin and Jessica are currently fostering me in Cincinnati, OH.
My adoption fee is $250.
