Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! My name is Patti! I am as cute as a button (that’s what my foster mom tells me, anyway). My foster mom says when I look in her eyes her heart melts because she can tell I’ve needed to feel loved for much too long.
I only weigh 26 pounds and stand about 12 inches high from the floor to the top of my back. I am not very big, at all. As a matter of fact, my legs are so short that I can’t even get up on the furniture. That’s a good thing, right?
I am good on a leash and am crate trained. I willingly go into my crate whenever my foster mom has to leave the house. I love my crate because my foster mom always gives me a Kong with tasty treats inside.
I am quite a cuddler! I also love to be held and carried around and because I’m so small, that’s an easy thing for people to do. I am a low to medium energy girl. The only times I get excited are when my foster mom first comes home, and when she fixes my meals. At those times, I dance around excitedly.
I currently suffer from separation anxiety. The first day my foster mom brought me home, I followed her wherever she went, crying the entire time. After a few days, I became more comfortable and stopped crying so much. I still cry occasionally, but it has really improved in a short period of time. Although, it helps that I have 3 foster sisters to hang around with. Because of this, it would be best if I went to a home with another dog so that I have constant companionship.
I must have been neglected in my past because I was not housetrained nor did I know any commands. However, I am as smart as a whip and am already getting the hang of doing my business outside. I also know how to sit now (in a squirmy kinda way).
My foster mom thinks I will make a great companion to someone who gives me a lot of attention or provides a playmate for me. She thinks all I need is time to feel secure and to know that I’m not gonna be left by myself for long periods of time. Don’t I sound perfect? Please consider me as your forever friend.
