My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Allie is a sweet and lovable little girl who is probably around 5 years old. She has beautiful markings and coloring and is just adorable! Allie would do best in a home with patient adopters. She came to us from a Southern shelter, and her history is unknown, but we don't think it was 100% positive. She is very cautious and takes a little while to warm up, but once she has your trust, she is very loving. She loves hugs and kisses. She can be very active playing with the resident dogs, but also loves to lay in the beds just as much! She looks to them for her lead and tends to follow what they do so we think she would be most comfortable in home with another dog. Allie has been good with the older child in the house, and responds well to men and women she knows. Allie is a little startled even by squeaky toys, but now that she has her own, she is starting to get used to them!
Allie keeps her crate clean and is close to being housetrained. She walks well on a leash, but would love a fenced in yard to run. If you have a great family with another dog and are willing to give this beautiful beagle a chance, please submit an application! As with all of our beagles, Allie is spayed, microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and started on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives!
This is a general posting for pre-approved applicants for a group of 9-12 week old beagle puppies expected to arrive the weekend of October 4th.  There are two males left. Pumpkin has cherry eye (which is easily corrected and can be fixed at the time of his neuter), and Whopper is recovering from a major surgery to repair an inguinal hernia. In both cases, these surgeries are fairly routine and once corrected, these issues pose no long term concerns.
