My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***Sponsored pup in our Senior program!*** Adoption fee is only $125 for approved adopters ages 65+!!

Please help us welcome Miri (short for Miriam) to NBS Animal Rescue! What soulful eyes this lady has!

This beautiful girl, Miri, came to us from the Saginaw Animal Control Center when we were contacted about her by the hard-working volunteers there. Miri is an 11 year old Rat Terrier who was sadly found as a stray. We were shocked that nobody stepped forward to look for their sweet, older gal.

Miri is a very easy keep around the house. She likes to eat and watch TV. She actually loves when you put her leash on her as well and is ready to go for a car ride or short walk. She has arthritis that flares up and occasionally has a slight limp but the Glucosamine/Chondroitin (over the counter supplement) that she takes with her food has really helped to loosen up her joints and given her a beautiful shiny coat! Miri is doing fantastic at potting outside but occasionally has an oops accident if not kept on a consistent schedule. She likes to go outside but is always the first one at the door ready to come back in!

Miri is the newest member of our Senior pack and is in our Senior program. She would be perfect for an older couple looking for a couch potato to spend her days with as she does not need much exercise and really prefers snoozing around the house to anything else.

Miri is going to be brought up to date on all of her vetting in the next few weeks and will be available shortly. Her normal adoption fee is $250 but to anyone 65+ plus, her adoption fee is $125 as a sponsored gal in our Senior program. She will available for adoption once her vetting is complete.

Her adoption fee is $250 normally ($125 for anyone adopting her who is 65+) and includes DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, De-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine, heartworm test, heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food.

If you think that she might be the perfect addition to your family, please contact the awesome volunteers at N.B.S. Animal Rescue at nbsanimalrescue@gmail.com for any additional information or answers to any questions you might have. You can fill out a simple online adoption application at www.nbsar.org and we will start processing your application right away! We do require that persons interested in meeting me apply online and be approved as an adopter first so please visit our website and submit your application today! Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on it's vaccinations and heartworm preventative as well as spayed/neutered unless there is a documented medical reason on file with your veterinarian. Dogs must be current on DHLPP, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative, cats must be current on Distemper, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative at the time of application.

While I hope that you have fallen in love with me and will fill out an adoption application right away, I understand if I might not be the perfect pup for your family. Would you please help me by sharing my picture and information on your Facebook page, or e-mail to your friends and family members? I'm a great pup and I really deserve a loving family to give all of my love and puppy kisses to! Thank-you for your help!
