Picasso's Story...
Picaso is an extremely sweet sable merle sheltie. He was rescued from a high-kill shelter. He is very calm and gentle. He takes a little time to warm up but has a lot of love to give. Once he gets to know you he really enjoys being nearby. Picaso is very good with other dogs and appears to be fine with cats as well. He is approximately 6 years old, weighs 20 lbs and has the most gorgeous thick coat. His coat was very matted when he came into rescue so we've had to remove a lot of the knots. In spite of this he's still a stunningly beautiful dog. But it's his sweet, undemanding and gentle temperament that makes him a joy to be around.

Picasso is in Los Angeles County. Adopters from Southern California are especially encouraged to apply. To sponsor him, please make a donation on our website or email us for more information. To apply for adoption, please fill out our online application so the appropriate volunteer can get back to you. www.AdoptASheltie.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Picasso, a La Habra Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in La Habra, or seeking a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in La Habra.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in La Habra already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a La Habra breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in La Habra paves the way for another one to be saved.
