Teddy's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Teddy's Story...
I'm Teddy! I'm an apricot mini poodle between 8-10 years old. I was living outside for most of my life until my neighbor decided that I needed some more attention, so she brought me to the shelter. I was covered in mats and my skin was really irritated from being outside in the heat, so the shelter shaved me down. My foster mom tells me I'm really cute but I think I'll look even cuter once my hair grows back! My vision isn't the best but that doesn't keep me from getting around just fine! The vet checked me over and said I'm in great shape! I live with other dogs and a baby right now, I'm not that interested in them but we all get along great. I'm more of a people person and just want to be your snuggle buddy! If you are looking for a low energy dog to keep you company, I'm your guy! My only requirements are a doggy bed and a kind heart :) If interested in me, email info@seniordoghaven.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Teddy, a Wilmington Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
