Facts about Zela

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Black & White Or Tuxedo
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 5907609
  • Hair: Short

Zela was an allergy victim. Her previous guardian got married and his new wife was hightly allergic. They tried for a year unsuccessfully to make it work and finally came to the heartbreaking decision to give Zela and her sister Zumi up. Luckily Paw Parent had space to take the two of them in.

The transistion for both of them was not easy, especially Zela. It took her quite a while to understand and aclimate. But now she has totally come out of her shell and is very affectioanate and sweet. She absolutely loves to get brushed! This is how you can win her heart in no time :)

Last year unfortunately she started to have asthma and needs cortisone shots when she has a bad flare up. It does not affect her personality and needs the shots only rarely.

She is about 8 years old, spayed, declawed and up to date on all her shots.

Please call 661-724-0642 if you want to meet her.

About Paw Parent

About Our Rescue Group...

Our goal is to fight for the plight of all companion animals so that none of them will ever
have to experience the horrors of being imprisoned in a pound system, where most of them are executed for the “crime” of being unwanted and homeless.
Animals entering our sanctuary will be given exceptional loving care and all the necessary medical attention whether short term, until adopted or for their lifetimes.
The survival of the sanctuary depends entirely on the support and donations from supporters, members and volunteers.
Through your generous giving we will be able to save countless lives in the future.

Our Adoption Process...

If you have found a pet of your liking on our site and contacted us we will make sure to get back to you as soon as possible.
We require a potential adopter to fill out an application.
If the application is satisfactory we will contact you to set up a time to meet. We also do home checks to make sure that the house or apartment the pet will go to is safe. The pet will be brought to your home at the time of the home check and if everything looks good and goes well the pet will be left with you. We are asking for an adoption fee and we also will have you sign a contract.
We allow a two week trial period during which the money will be refunded if it turnes out to not be a match. After the two week period the adoption fee is not refundable.
