My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello-my name is Chloe! I survived the tornadoes in Moore Oklahoma a few months ago and wandered up onto a nice lady’s property that thought I was an Italian Greyhound. The IG people thought I was too, but it was a little hard to tell in pictures because I was also VERY pregnant. Turns out I am an IG mix-most likely heavy on the terrier side. So here I am living in a foster home with iggies and my ELEVEN babies-yes…you read that correctly! My babies will be moving to foster homes soon and will be available for adoption through Coppell Humane Society as soon as they are fully vetted. That means I will be available for adoption soon too, and I am so excited about that!

I am around 2-3 years old and have a very sweet and submissive personality. I am almost back to a non-pregnant size at around 25#, and am learning all about good house manners. Potty training is coming along very well and I am not real big on getting up onto the furniture unless you invite me. Lying right at your feet with a chewie is a pretty fine spot if you ask me! I also enjoy playing with toys and do the cutest little bunny hop on my back legs when it is time to eat. I have been very gentle with my iggy foster siblings and very much enjoy playing with them-especially the boy one-he is LOTS of fun! Although I have not had exposure to young human children, my foster mom expects I will do great with a young active family since I am so easy going.

My beautiful white coat was in pretty bad shape when I arrived but it is starting to fill in nicely. I also have red spots and large ears that lend lots of expression to my face. I love to be loved on, but I have nice manners as well. I don’t jump up to try to knock anyone down or try to give you a bath with my tongue. I am a sweet girl, that has had it a bit rough, and happened to stumble into this great Rescue that was willing to give me and my pups a chance. My vetting will be completed around mid August and I am really hoping to find my forever soon after that. Don’t get me wrong-it has been wonderful here in foster care, but I just can’t stop dreaming of my very own ‘furever’ family =)
