Chula's Story...
Chula (means "how cute" in Spanish) is a wonderful, 6yr old Corgi/Shiba mix dog. She has been with me since she was 3 weeks old after she was abandoned by her mommy. She's a perfect, small dog (25lbs), completely housetrained, knows basic commands, is non-destructive (huge plus!), gets along great with cats and small dogs (but doesn't overly engage with larger ones), but especially loves people. Her ideal home is a family with children over 5, a yard that she can explore and someone who wants a great, mellow companion. She's a great indoor dog that is over the puppy stage. Chula is also up to date on her vaccines and microchipped. Please contact Danielle Adler at chula7@gmail.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chula, a Berkeley Corgi/Shiba Inu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Corgi/Shiba Inu for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a Corgi/Shiba Inu dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Corgi/Shiba Inu breeders who help with Corgi/Shiba Inu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
