My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Princess Amberella is a female, spayed, 3 year old Rat Terrier/Beagle cross and weighs 30 lbs. She came to be at the NHS because she was transferred from a pound in the States. She seems to be a quiet dog, who is very eager to please and thinks that she is a lap dog as she would prefer a lap over a floor! She is a bit scared of her surroundings though, and can be seen trembling in her cage at tikes. She does know sit, shake paw and lie down for the most part, she just doesn’t stay in a sit or down position for very long. She loves belly and ear rubs and was okay with getting her nails clipped. She seems curious of small rodents but was a bit scared of the cats when they were all hissing at her. She would probably be okay in a home with cats, but it is too soon to say whether she would be good with other dogs. At the present time, Amberella may be best in a home with older children. Princess Amberella has been at the NHS since October 20, 2007.
